The story of  "Ilean"

In 1995, Marie had her right leg removed because of no blood circulation.  First, they removed the leg just below the knee and shortly, within a week, they removed to just above the knee.  My business partner, who had somewhat of a weird sense of humor came in to the office and asked, "How is Ilean doing?"  I looked at him and wondered who he was talking about.  He then explained that my sister, because of her leg amputation, couldn't stand straight and now leans to the right.

When Marie heard me call her Ilean, I told her the story and then it seemed to stick in my mind.  Later, after she returned home, I telephoned and when someone else answered the telephone,  without thinking I asked if Ilean was available.  The person said that there was no one there by the name, Ilean.  Then, I heard a voice from the other side of the room, "I'M ILEAN, THAT IS MY BROTHER, GEORGE.  I'M ILEAN, GIVE ME THE PHONE."

A couple of years ago, they had to take the rest of the leg, so I called her, Ilean More.  She enjoyed the nickname and even used it as one or more of her logins on the internet.  We are a family that will find good out of things that may happen to us.  It makes the bad things a little more bearable.  We are a realistic family and can accept God's plans for each and every one of us.

Although Ilean could be a little crude in her language, I pray that the emails she sent to me that included references to Jesus, Angels and prayers  got her to accept Jesus as her Lord and Saviour and making her way into heaven.
